KWFF is off enjoying its some hiatus, we hope you are too! Check-in here periodically for news, updates and impromptu events.

Fly Tying

Our September Fly Tying Meeting will be held on Thursday, September 17th (third Thursday of the month). Time, location and our guest tyer to be announced!


Hall of Fame Award

As noted above, Ken Robins is the recipient of the 2026 KWFF Hall of Fame Award

Ken is a founding member of the KW Fly Fishers, a life member, and is also currently a Director of the club with a special interest, among others, in promoting and managing our library.  He is a member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, Freshwater Conservation Canada (formerly Trout Unlimited Canada) and the Anglers of the Ausable (Michigan).

Ken has been fly fishing for over 50 years from the east coast to the west coast in Canada and the U.S.  He has given many workshops at the Canadian Fly Fishing Forum and for several fly fishing clubs including many presentations for the KWFF.  He has written articles for the FFF Flyfisher magazine and the Ontario Fisherman Magazine including a three part series in the Ontario Fisherman Magazine in 1984 entitled Ontario Mayfly Hatches which remains on the best sources of information for anglers on that topic.  Ken has also contributed a chapter in The Fishing Book: Sportfishing in Ontario (1990) on Brook trout and a chapter in the book Fly Fishing Canada (2001) on fly fishing for Brook Trout.
